It is the place the English Premier League (soccer), Wimbledon (tennis), Lords Cricket Grounds and Twickenham Stadium (rugby) all call home, the site of the 2012 Olympic Games, and where the NBA, NFL and MLB have now established their global presence with offices. All of this makes London the ideal location to experience and learn about the global business of sports.

In this 10-day study abroad course, students will experience the international nature of sports marketing and business. Enroll and you will meet leaders and executives at London-based sports organizations, agencies and sports-focused companies, visit historic venues like Wimbledon and Wembley Stadium, and even attend an English Premier League game.

This program is an excellent way to build knowledge and gain experience around how the business of sports operates globally. A prior background in sports business is helpful but not at all required.

Learn the ins and outs of the hospitality industry in Florence, Italy, a European center of art, history and culture. You'll spend fall quarter at Florence University of the Arts (FUA) taking major and minor courses.

FUA is a modern, innovative institution that stresses experiential learning designed for international students. The Apicius International School of Hospitality is FUA’s first, largest, and academically strongest school. Its students run both a pastry shop and a full restaurant open to the public in Florence.

This business study seminar introduces students to Italian culture through wine management and foodservice in the hospitality industry. Emphasis is placed on understanding Italian wine making business practices through in-depth tours of vineyards, wineries, and tasting rooms. Students will also gain an appreciation for Italian foodservice management business practices including local operations and tourist operations. Students will compare Italian wine management and foodservice practices with U.S. practices. We also explore ethical issues as they relate to food and wine business in Italy.
