Academic advisors are assigned based on the student's last name. Please refer to OneDePaul or Degree Progress Report to see the academic advisor assigned to you.

Students can meet with a Driehaus academic advisor by appointment, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours most weeks of the year (including summer). Schedule your 30-minute appointment in OneDePaul, by calling (312) 362-5358, by stopping by DePaul Center 5200. Advisors meet virtually and in-person.

When planning your course schedule, it is best to see an advisor well before registration begins:

• For autumn quarter, see an advisor in April
• For winter quarter, see an advisor in late September or early October
• For spring quarter, see an advisor in late January or early February
• For summer quarter, see an advisor in late January or early February

Advising Topics

Students with questions about the advising topics noted below should schedule an appointment with an academic advisor as soon as possible. Your advisor will ensure full understanding of how to progress through the degree program in a timely manner, and they can refer you to campus-wide resources available to help you stay on track to graduation.

The Undergraduate Virtual Waiting Room is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, most days of the term. Students join an online queue and are advised on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will receive an email when they are next in line, and the advisor is available. Students may join the queue through OneDePaul or by calling the Business Academic Advising Office at 312-362-5358.

You may submit an Inter-College Transfer request once you have completed a minimum of 12 credit hours at DePaul University and have earned a minimum 2.00 cumulative grade point average (GPA). ​ ​

To make any of these changes, follow this path in Campus Connect: Advising, Planning & Graduation > Change College, Major or Minor.

You must also select a concentration if you are pursuing the following majors: accounting, marketing, and management.

You may only take open elective classes as pass/fail. All other courses required for the Bachelor of Science in Business must be taken with the standard letter grading system. ​

You must apply for the pass/fail grading option prior to the third week of class. Submit this form to Monika Gunty (mgunty@depaul.edu).

The Driehaus College of Business utilizes the University Waitlist system to manage enrollment for business courses. Occasionally a senior in their last term may have an extreme situation. If a student has an extreme circumstance, they may be eligible for a Closed Class Petition.  Students must work with a Business Academic Advisor to determine eligibility for a petition. If eligible, the Business Advisors will submit a petition request for College review.  All other students are directed to add themselves to a waitlist for a closed Business class.  Students should not approach Business faculty regarding closed class requests. If they do, faculty should direct students to talk to their academic advisor.   Professors do not submit closed class petition requests.
