20+ Hour Request

Students must obtain approval from the LAS Undergraduate College Office in order to register for more than 20 quarter hours in a single term. Any sophomore, junior or senior who wants to enroll in more than 20 quarter hours must submit a 20+ Hour Request form to the LAS Undergraduate College Office for the excess quarter hour load.

Students must meet the following criteria prior to submitting a 20+ quarter hour request form. 

  • have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • have at least 44 quarter hours earned
  • have successfully completed four courses in any previous quarter

There is a per-credit tuition charge for an excess load of more than 18 quarter hours. Please contact Student Accounts and/or Financial Aid for more information on how this will effect your tuition bill.
