Students participating in a College of Communication internship hone their professional skills taking a course, concurrently, that combines work and learning. The experience provides an opportunity to learn and practice career development strategies while developing the skills needed to succeed in the rapidly changing communication fields.
Our courses meet DePaul’s Experiential Learning Requirement only when taken concurrently with an internship. If you have already fulfilled Experiential Learning, our courses may be used to fulfill a general elective requirement, a communication elective, and/or a course within your major.
Getting Started
Step 1: Request Access to an Online Orientation Session
Once enrolled in the Orientation through D2L, you can participate at your convenience. The Orientation session will provide information on the following:
- How to earn academic credit for one or more internships
- Proven methods to find your ideal internship—or future job—through DePaul-sponsored and external resources (if you do not already have an internship)
- Information about the College of Communication's internship courses
