Overview
The Thomas and Carol Dammrich Faculty Innovation Award supports innovative teaching and learning in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. This award is intended to encourage full-time faculty to develop creative classroom-based projects that deepen student engagement, strengthen course design, and expand opportunities for applied learning and intellectual inquiry. The award may be used to support project-related expenses in accordance with the LAS Operations Guide.
Award Information
Award Amount: Up to $5,000 in expenses
Eligibility: All full-time faculty
Proposal Deadline: Monday, May 4, 2026
Proposal Requirements
Applicants should submit a detailed project plan, no more than three pages, including a line-item budget.
The proposal narrative should describe the project and answer the following questions:
- How do you incorporate your own research and/or model research methods in the course for which you are requesting the award?
- What are the learning outcomes for the course? What will students do in this course? What methods or skills will they learn?
- What end project, outcome, or presentation will you plan to share as a result of this activity with the larger DePaul or city community?
