- Elementary Education graduate students take a Field Lab (T&L 583 or T&L 584) concurrently with other paired courses. Students will complete and log their field experience hours within the Field Lab each quarter, which will serve as the field experience vehicle for their paired courses. Common paired courses will include T&L 404/412/416/413/415/ 419 & SER 446. Any field experience hour needs within these paired courses will be fulfilled in the Field Lab.
- Take T&L 584 in the quarter prior to student teaching. You will schedule 24 field experience hours at your student teaching site.
- In the rare case where a student is only taking one course per quarter, the student will complete the field experience lab in one quarter and complete 15 field experience hours in the other. For example, a student taking T&L 412 in the fall might take T&L 583. When the same student takes T&L 413 in the winter, he or she would need to work with the instructor and the Field Experiences Advising Team to identify a site to complete 15 hours of field experience.
